Miti Miti (“we”, “our”, or “us”) values your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Miti Miti website at mitimiti.app, the Miti Miti mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information that is necessary to operate and improve the Service.
When using Miti Miti, you may provide information such as:
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:
If you sign in through third-party providers such as Google or Apple, we may receive account information associated with those services, such as your name, email address, and profile image.
If you choose to connect your Mercado Pago account, you authorize us to read your payment history through Mercado Pago’s official authorization flow. When connected, we:
Imported payments are kept in a private review inbox visible only to you. They become transactions only when you accept them. We only read payment information; we cannot move money or make payments on your behalf. You can disconnect Mercado Pago at any time from Settings, which revokes our access.
We use collected information to:
Authorized members of our team may access account information through internal administration tools when needed for support, security, abuse handling, or plan management. These actions are logged.
We do not sell your personal information.
Miti Miti can suggest a category when you add a transaction. Suggestions may come from keywords learned from the transactions you have created in that group, and, where enabled, from an artificial intelligence service provider. To produce an AI suggestion, we send the provider the transaction title, amount, currency, and the group’s name and currency. We do not send your name, email address, or the identity of group members. You can turn learned suggestions off in Settings.
Miti Miti is a collaborative platform.
Information you add to groups, including transactions, balances, settlements, trips, and member names, may be visible to other members of those groups.
Group owners and admins can manage members and roles, remove members, and change the group’s settings, including its currency.
Your personal group and the transactions in it are visible only to you.
You are responsible for the information you choose to share within shared groups.
When paid subscriptions are offered, payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive your full payment card information.
Payment processing is subject to the privacy policies and terms of the relevant app store.
We use third-party services for infrastructure and platform functionality, including:
These providers may process information on our behalf according to their own privacy policies. We may add or replace providers over time. A list of our current providers is available on request.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections and encryption of third-party access credentials.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
We retain information for as long as necessary to:
Some information may remain in backups or archived systems for a limited period after deletion.
You can request deletion of your account at any time from Settings in the website or the app, or by contacting us.
Deletion is processed automatically after a short waiting period, usually within 24 hours of your request. When your account is deleted:
Transactions and settlements you took part in within shared groups remain visible to the other members so their balances stay correct, but they are attributed to the anonymous placeholder instead of you.
We keep a minimal record that the account was deleted, and some information may remain temporarily in backups or logs. We may retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as security and audit records.
Deletion cannot be undone. You may create a new account later with the same email address, but it will not restore your previous data.
The Service is available in many countries, and our team and service providers may be located in different parts of the world.
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. When we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected as described in this Privacy Policy.
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we become aware that information from a child has been collected, we may delete it.

We do not share the content of your transactions, balances, or groups with advertisers, and we do not use it to target ads.
Where required by law, or by the operating system (for example, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency), we will ask for your consent before using your information for personalized advertising. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalized ads.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
