Welcome to Miti Miti.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Miti Miti website at mitimiti.app, the Miti Miti mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Miti Miti is a shared and personal transaction tracking platform (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
Miti Miti helps users organize shared expenses, income, balances, and settlements between individuals and groups. The Service is informational only and does not function as a bank, payment processor, financial advisor, currency exchange, or escrow service. We never hold, send, or receive money on your behalf.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
By using Miti Miti, you confirm that:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Miti Miti does not guarantee the accuracy of balances entered by users. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming transactions, amounts, and settlements with the people involved.
We are not responsible for disputes between group members regarding payments, debts, reimbursements, or transaction ownership.
Each shared group has an owner and may have admins. Owners and admins can manage members and their roles, remove members, and change group settings, including the group’s currency. By joining a group, you accept that its owner and admins may take these actions.
When you leave a group or are removed from it, transactions you took part in remain in the group so that the other members’ balances stay correct. If a group owner deletes their account, ownership passes to another member where possible.
Anyone with a group invitation link can join that group by claiming a member who has not joined yet, and will then see the group’s transactions and balances. Share invitation links only with the people they are meant for.
Exchange rates shown or used by the Service are obtained from third-party providers, may be delayed, and are provided for reference only. They are not the rates offered by any bank, exchange, or payment provider, and we do not guarantee their accuracy.
When a transaction is recorded in a currency different from its group’s, or when a group’s currency is changed, amounts are converted at the rate in effect at that moment. These conversions are not recalculated later if rates change.
The Service may suggest categories for your transactions, using patterns from your own transactions or an artificial intelligence provider. Suggestions are generated automatically and may be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing them.
Recurring transactions you schedule are created automatically on the dates you choose until you edit, end, or delete them. You are responsible for keeping those schedules up to date.
The Service lets you connect a Mercado Pago account so that your payments can be imported for review. Miti Miti is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mercado Pago.
The connection only reads your payment history. We cannot move money, make payments, or change anything in your Mercado Pago account. Imported payments are suggestions and only become transactions when you accept them.
Importing depends on Mercado Pago’s systems. We do not guarantee that every payment will be imported, or that imported information will be complete or accurate. You may disconnect your account at any time from Settings. Your use of Mercado Pago remains subject to its own terms.
Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription.
When paid subscriptions are offered, they are purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payment processing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the relevant store under its own terms.
Prices, billing periods, available plans, and the features included in each plan may change over time. Any changes will apply prospectively. When a subscription ends, your account returns to the free plan. Data you created with paid features is kept, but you may lose access to those features.
The free plan of the Service may be supported by advertising shown on the website and in the mobile apps. Ads may be provided by third-party advertising networks, such as Google.
We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of third-party ads, or for the products, services, or websites they promote. Any dealings with an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.
You agree not to interfere with how ads are displayed, and not to click on ads or generate ad impressions artificially or fraudulently. Users on a paid plan are not shown advertising.
How advertising partners use information, and how you can control personalized ads, is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content and data you submit to the Service, including transaction descriptions, profile information, and group data.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload or share:
If you add people to a group who do not have an account, you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to record their name and their share of transactions.
The Service, including its software, branding, design, logos, features, and content, is owned by Miti Miti or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that we may collect and process information necessary to operate the platform, including account information, usage data, and group-related content.
We may use third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, notifications, exchange rates, category suggestions, advertising, analytics, subscriptions, and infrastructure.
The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services such as:

Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
From time to time, maintenance, updates, outages, or technical issues may affect access to the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of:

We do not guarantee the correctness of user-entered information, imported payments, exchange rates, or automatic suggestions, or the successful completion of settlements between users. Nothing in the Service is financial, tax, or legal advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Miti Miti and its operators will not be liable for:
Our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount paid by you to Miti Miti during the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can also delete your account from Settings. Deletion is permanent and is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if:

When changes are material, we may notify users through the Service or by email.
Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
